How can the optimal development and participation of children and young people be guaranteed in our contemporary societies? And what is needed to support the learning and development of children and youth giving our rapidly changing society in terms of cultural diversity and migration, recent social divides, new technologies and changing demands of the labor market? In our research, we link the development and learning of children and young people to societal issues such as equity, cultural diversity, social participation and digitalisation. We examine how pedagogical contexts and facilities can be optimised in order to improve the development and participation opportunities for all children and young people.
The ambition of our department is that our research leads to the design of innovative social arrangements, interventions and tools in the pedagogical arena.
