Organisation

The School of Law has twelve institutes, research institutes and -centres.

The six institutes each cover a specific field of the legal discipline concerned, they conduct research and provide education. The institutes are:

• Institute of Fiscal Law; (Dutch only)
• Institute of International, Social and Economic Public Law; (Dutch only)
• Molengraaff Institute of Private and Notarial Law; (Dutch only)
• Institute of Legal Theory;
• Institute of Constitutional and Administrative Law; (Dutch only) 
• Willem Pompe Institute of Criminal Law and Criminology.

The School of Law also acts as the secretariat for the following (national) research institutes:

• Netherlands Institute of Human Rights (SIM); 
• Centre for Environmental Law and Policy (CELP/NILOS); (Dutch only)
• Europa Institute;
• Netherlands Institute for the Law of the Sea (NILOS);
• Montaigne Centre for the Administration of Justice and the Solution of Conflicts.

The G.J. Wiarda Institute accommodates all the School of Law research. 
Several service departments (in Dutch only) support the education and research.
