Poor lesson

Is there hope for the teacher-student relationship after a poor 50 minutes lesson?

Slechte les

At the beginning of the school year, the teacher and class rapidly develop a stable relationship. This does not take more than two or three lessons, but rather more than 50 minutes. If the relationship changes during the year, it often will deteriorate rather than improve. The worse the relationship at the beginning of the year, the higher the chance it will worsen even more. But a relationship that was of above-average quality will often even get better. Therefore, the first few lectures are crucial to the teacher-student relationship. Changes in this relationship during the year may be small, but follow a pattern. If, during the year, the teacher argues with the students this will have an effect on the relationship for about two lessons. If the teacher does not make the same mistake again, the relationship will return to the same good (or poor) quality as it was before the inferior 50 minutes.
