Our Programme

Community-Based Research for the Humanities is a cooperation between the Utrecht University Faculty of Humanities and University College Utrecht. We facilitate community-based research for students and support their teachers and academic supervisors.

Our Mission

Our programme uses community-based research (CBR) to enhance students’ civic engagement and enrich their understanding of the social relevance of their education. It promotes reflection on the contributions that the humanities can make to societal goals, locally as well as globally, offering connection with diversity in the city of Utrecht at large. The programme supports students, lecturers and societal partners in engaging in community-university partnerships

This programme came into existence as a project funded by the Utrecht Incentive Fund / Utrechts Stimuleringsfonds Onderwijs (2018-2021)
