Termination of enrolment

If you want to terminate your enrolment (temporarily), you can do this via Studielink. Click the button ‘Application for termination of enrolment'. Fill out the requested date and reason for termination. It is NOT possible to terminate retroactively.
If you terminate your enrolment in July or August, tuition fees will not be refunded. 
You will receive a confirmation email from Studielink.

If you want to terminate based on illness and/or family circumstances, Waiting times for internships (this applies to students of the Faculty of Medicine or the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine only), or in the first year of your Bachelor's degree programme or based on another reason, this will possibly have consequences for any student grants you might be receiving, you might be eligible for refunding of part of the tuition fee as well.

If you want to terminate your enrolment based on graduation, there are some matters that you should pay attention to. 

Please note! If you are a non-EU/ EEA student and you terminate your enrolment while your residence permit is valid, it becomes void and you will be required to leave the country within 28 days.

Students aged 30 or older

You cannot re-activate your DUO student grant once it has been terminated.

Privately funded master's programme
