Lucas Drouhot is Assistant Professor of Sociology at Utrecht University, with research interests in international migration and integration, social inequality, and social networks. He received a Ph.D. in Sociology from Cornell University in 2018, and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity between 2018 and 2021. 

Currently, Lucas' research focuses on integration dynamics among the children and grandchildren of immigrants in Western Europe and the United States. He has a secondary research agenda on inequality, conflict and community in social contexts of diversity. His work to date has been published in the American Journal of Sociology, the Annual Review of Sociology, International Migration Review, Social Networks, and several other journals. He is a Consulting Editor at the American Journal of Sociology (two-year term, 2023-2025).
