Microscopy expert with well over 10 years of experience in cryo-Focused Ion Beam - Scanning Electron Microscopy (FIB-SEM). Experience with EDX, EBSD, CL, STEM-in-SEM/TSEM, TEM prep, FIB-SEM Tomography. I have applied these techniques in a wide spectrum of scientific fields: Life Sciences, Structural Geology, Heterogeneous Catalysis, Nanomaterials (particles and CNT). Recently, I have moved to Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy (CLSM) to investigate the behavior of fluids in porous media.

I have developed a strong interest into the correlation between the nano-/microworld and the macroworld. In particular considering transport of matter through porous media acros different length scales.
