Yanuardi is a PhD candidate in environmental governance, Copernicus institute of sustainable development, Faculty of Geosciences, Utrecht University, supported by LPDP scholarship. He graduated from Gadjah Mada University with undergraduate and master degree in Politics and Government and Political Science, respectively, with thesis “An inquiry on the roots of state’s failure on reserved forest area in Dieng Plateau: a critical discourse analysis on state’s political ecology discourses”. He also works as lecturer in UNY (Yogyakarta State University). Previously, he worked in some NGOs in Indonesia in some issues: policy advocacy in rural area, natural resources management, and independent election monitoring. Apart from teaching, he also conducted research on governance issues: peace and conflict, public administration reform, environment, and aging population. For instance, research on social business risk assessment in post conflict area Aceh, assessment on Tim Kerja Peduli Dieng, and aging population in Yogyakarta.
