Yteke Elte is an experienced, equine veterinarian, with a special interest in equine ambulatory work. Within the Equine University Clinic, she is responsible for the management of the Equine Ambulatory Clinic.
She is involved as a course coordinator and teacher in educating veterinary students about practice management and the personal and communication skills necessary to be successful as a (equine) veterinarian.
In her research she focusses on the human side of equine veterinary practice. Both from the viewpoint of the owner and the veterinarian.
She is active as an Official Veterinarian for the FEI, is a member of multiple expert commissions on equine welfare and and lecturer at the Police Academy for the training of policemen and -women with a focus on animal welfare and the employees at the animal emercency call centre.
