Hi there, my name is Xixi Lu. I am an Assistant Professor (tenured) in the Department of Information and Computing Sciences at Utrecht University.
I received my Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees from the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. Subsequently, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
My research interests lie at the intersection of Process-Aware Data Science (also known as Process Mining) and Machine Learning. Specifically, I focus on developing methods, approaches, and algorithms for analyzing complex event data. This analysis aims to understand, predict, and optimize the behavior of various processes. These methods have been applied in various sectors such as healthcare, IT, banking, and auditing.
