Hi, my name is Xianyi, currently a post-doc researcher working with Emilia Jarochowska at the Dept. of Geoscience. I am now a member of the MIND THE GAP project. The aim of my work is to investigate how the incomplete temporal recording of geological information due to the incomplete preservations of strata biases our interpretations. To achieve this goal, along with my colleagues, we use numerical modeling tools to figure out the 'temporal gaps' in the strata. 

Before coming to UU, I received my Ph.D. from UCL in isotope geochemistry. I utilised metal isotopes including Mg and Li isotopes to study the influence of vascular plants on silicate weathering.
