Xiaoqian Gong started to work as a postdoctoral researcher in the department of biomolecular health in September 2022. From her PhD work on host-virus interaction, Xiaoqian got a strong interest in taking a multidisciplinary approach to explore scientific questions. As a part of a multidisciplinary team led by Dr Esther Nolte-'t Hoen, Xiaoqian's postdoctoral research focuses on exploring the biology of extracellular vesicles (EVs) and their role in host-pathogen interactions.
