Tejaswini is an Associate Professor in the Institute for Language Sciences, Department of Languages, Literature and Communication. Her research is in the area of Computational Linguistics/ Natural Language Processing (NLP). In particular, she focuses on data-driven and machine-learning methods for building linguistically adequate models of syntax and semantics.

Previously, she has held positions at the Institute of Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC), University of Amsterdam (Assistant Professor), and at the School of Informatics, Edinburgh (post-doctoral research associate). Her PhD is in Linguistics and Cognitive Science from Cornell University.
