Simon Gusman is Assistant Professor in Liberal Arts & Sciences. His main expertise is philosophy, with an emphasis on the application of existentialism, phenomenology, post-structuralism and speculative realism to socio-cultural themes and questions considering personal development. He writes about the rol that our desire for adventure plays in our culture en researches the existential dimension of our fascination with ruins. 

He also specializes in the philosophy of interdisciplinarity en the question of how radically different perspectives can be integrated in new forms of knowledge. In light of this, he develops educational materians for interdisciplinairy eduction. 

As a public speaker, he delivers lectures at many events, including festivals such as Lowlands, Down the Rabbit hole and Zwarte Cross.
