At IMAU I hold the Buys Ballot chair for 1 day/week on behalf of the Royal Netherlands Meterolological Institute (KNMI) where I work as senior scientist in the department of research and development of weather and climate models (RDWK). I em also employed for 1 day/week at the University of Southamton in the faculty of Ocean and Earth Sciences in the National Oceanography Centre.
