Rhoda Woets is a cultural anthropologist who works at UCU as an anthropology teacher, fellow and tutor. Her PhD- research (2011) explored the underlying ideological premises and contestations underpinning the category of modern and contemporary Ghanaian art since its inception in colonial times. She conducted research in Ghana on the appropriation of mass-produced Jesus pictures that circulate globally and  the meanins of African wax cloth (prints).
