Reindert Dhondt is currently the coordinator of the undergraduate programme (BA) of Spanish Language and Culture.

He has delivered guest lectures in many European and American universities, such as Universidade da Coruña, Universiteit Antwerpen, Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen, and California State University, Los Angeles.

In 2017 he held the Chair Emile Lorand for Hispanic Studies at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

He was Educate-it ambassador for the Department of Languages, Literature and Communication in 2018-2019. As an ambassador, he helped the department (re)design courses by incorporating the teaching methods and ideas of blended learning and flipping the classroom.

He has supervised over twenty (research) master theses and has been member of the supervising committee of several PhD projects. He is currently co-promotor of PhD student Marloes Mekenkamp (Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen).

In 2020 he coordinates with Prof. Brigitte Adriaensen a new interuniversity master course on violence in Latin American literature: Curso MasterLanguage Violencia y literatura latinoamericana 2020
