Ruud Abma is a cultural psychologist and historian of the human sciences. Although retired, he is still affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences (UU), and the Descartes Centre for the History and Philosophy of the Sciences and the Humanities. He was president of the European Society for the History of the Human Sciences. The majority of his publications is written in the Dutch language.
