I work as a PhD student at the intersection between the AI Technology for Life group and the Plant-Microbe Interactions group. I use deep learning to help advance the understanding of plant microbiome assembly, its role for plant health, as well as for plant microbiome engineering efforts within the sphere of sustainable agriculture. My main interests are large language models and transformer based approaches, the use of graph neural networks for link prediction and as foundation models, generative AI, explainability and compositional data handling.
