In the period 2014-2018 I was responsible for the business operation of the Department of Pathobiology. During that period I was also responsible for the support teams working in and around the Veterinary Pathological Diagnostic Center (the necropsy hall). In addition, I have participated in various roles in faculty and university projects. For example, I was project leader for setting up the collaboration between the UU and the UMCU in the Hubrecht Laboratory building. From September 2018, both the Department of Pathobiology and the Department of Infectious Diseases and Immunology (I&I) fell under my responsibility.

Before working at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, I worked as a consultant at consultancy firm Andersson Elffers Felix ( AEF ). I worked on management issues in public organizations ( health care institutions , ministries, municipalities). Most projects were a combination of the 'hard' business side and the 'soft' human side.

I received my Master in Theoretical Physics from Utrecht University . During my studies I taught several courses as a student assistant and was, among other things, a student member to the Faculty board.
