Dr. Nikita Divissenko

Nikita Divissenko is an Assistant Professor at the International and European Law Department of the Utrecht School of Law. He coordinates the Master's Programme ‘Law and Technology in Europe’ and co-teaches the course ‘EU Digital Innovation and Regulation’. Nikita's research focuses on the intersection of digital finance, regulation and technological innovation. He is the author of ‘Regulating Innovation in the Digital Age’ (Hart, 2025).

Nikita obtained his PhD from the European University Institute (EUI) in 2022, and holds LLM degrees in International, European and Comparative Law (EUI) and in European Law from Leiden University (cum laude). Prior to joining Utrecht University he was a research associate at the Florence School of Banking & Finance (Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies).
