My research focuses on the surface mass balance of ice sheets and glaciers. I am interested in the coupling between the surface and the atmosphere, and particularly in the contribution of atmospheric boundary layer turbulence to ice ablation.

I work mainly with measurements from automatic weather stations, drone imagery, satellite altimetry and small-scale to meso-scale atmospheric models.

Research interests:

  • Polar meteorology
  • Boundary layer turbulence
  • Satellite remote sensing
  • Glacier surface mass balance
