Matthijs van Otegem (1975) has been director of the University Library since 1 October 2022. After his PhD on Descartes at the Faculty of Philosophy in Utrecht, he worked for twelve years at the Koninklijke Bibliotheek in various positions. From 2013 to 2022 he was director of the library of the Erasmus University.
