Mirjam van Kan-Parker is Head of Research Affairs at the Faculty of Geosciences and is responsible for managing the research support organization of the faculty. 

The research policy domain encompasses various topics, including:

- supporting researchers in submitting and executing research projects (via the research support office (RSO));

- research policy and quality assurance of research;

- research impact and communication;

- professor policy.
