Marlon Boeve is Assistent Professor at the Utrecht Centre for Water, Oceans and and Sustainability Law and the Institute of Constitutional, Administrative Law and Legal Theory, Utrecht university. In addition, she is professor of Environmental and Planning Law in Area development at TU Delft, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment.

Her research focuses on European and national environmental law and spatial planning Law. She has published widely in periodicals and books on such topics as sustainable urban development, circular building regulations, environmental quality standards and compensation in environmental law. She holds a Phd in the field of environmental Law (2017, University of Amsterdam, 'Environmental Law of the Compact City'). She is interested in the law for a circular economy. 

She is a member of the editorial board of the Tijdschrift voor Omgevingsrecht (the Journal for Environmental Law) and the Tijdschrift voor Bouwrecht. She lectures in the area of environmental law and general administrative law to Bachelor and Master students and is also lecturer in post-graduate courses on environmental law.
