Rieke van Leeuwen studies early modern art and artists from the Low Countries in transnational perspective. She focuses on the mobility, networks, activities and production of Northern and Southern-Netherlandish artists abroad and on the nature of the artistic and cultural exchange with their foreign colleagues, clients and patrons at courts and in towns.
