Marloes is a policy officer in the academic affairs office. She focuses on Global engagement, which is one of Utrecht University’s strategic goals to focus on research and education beyond Western Europe. Utrecht University aims to contribute to equal opportunities for partner institutions in lower resource environments, such as the Global South. With this engagement, it is the University’s goal to excel in research and education as an international institution of education and science, and expand our horizon. Keen to learn more? Marloes also supports the Prince Claus Chair. Since the Chair was established in January 2003, founding institutes Utrecht University and the International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam have alternately appointed an outstanding young academic from a developing country to the Prince Claus Chair. The objective is to advance research and teaching in the field of equity and development.
