Project supervision: In the 2023-24 academic year, I have no hours left to supervise master's or bachelor's theses. Write me about the thesis supervision only if you have an elaborated thesis proposal that is closely related to my research, i.e., reasoning/inference in natural language (but I cannot guarantee the supervision).

I am an assistant professor affiliated with the Institute for Language Sciences. My research focuses on formal and computational semantics and their application in machine learning and reasoning for natural language.

Previously, I was a postdoc researcher in the ROCKY project at Utrecht University. From 2016 to 2020, I worked as a postdoc in the PMB project and as a lecturer at the University of Groningen. I obtained my doctorate degree from Tilburg University in 2017. My PhD thesis combined Automated Theorem Proving and Natural Logic to solve Natural Language Inference problems. I have a double master's degree from the European master's program on Language and Communication Technologies, where I studied at Charles University in Prague and Nancy 2 University (now the University of Lorraine). My bachelor's degree is in pure mathematics from Tbilisi State University.
