In the 25-26 academic year, I am available to supervise a couple of AI master's theses. I have a preference to supervise students who have taken my TLMV25020/TLMV13020 course, as it closely aligns with my research interests.
I am an assistant professor affiliated with the Institute for Language Sciences. My research focuses on formal and computational semantics and their application in machine learning and reasoning for natural language.
Previously, I was a postdoc researcher in the ROCKY project at Utrecht University. From 2016 to 2020, I worked as a postdoc in the PMB project and as a lecturer at the University of Groningen. I obtained my doctoral degree from Tilburg University in 2017. My PhD thesis combined Automated Theorem Proving and Natural Logic to solve Natural Language Inference problems. I have a double master's degree from the European master's program on Language and Communication Technologies, where I studied at Charles University in Prague and Nancy 2 University (now the University of Lorraine). My bachelor's degree is in pure mathematics from Tbilisi State University.
