I am a plant community ecologist who is focused on how plants interact to combat global change and alter how ecosystems function. I try to explore these interactions both above and belowground using grassland and forest biodiversity experiments and in naturally assembled systems. I also work with models of plant communities to make theoretical experiments and understand how interactions result in some of the patterns we see in experiments and nature.
