I am affiliated as associate professor to the Department of Languages, Literature and Communication. My teaching and research is in the domain of semantics (meaning in language). 

Much of my research is about “language and space”:

• How we use language to talk about spatial properties, with prepositions, for instance (above, after, at, …)
• How we use (visual) space to “make” language (in writing and diagrams)
