Ganna Kolesnyk is a Ukrainian researcher currently affiliated with the University of Utrecht and involved in active teaching. 

She used to work as an Associate Professor in the Department of English Philology at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University, Mykolaiv, Ukraine but had to flee her native country because of the war.  Ganna is an alumna of the Ukrainian Association of Fulbright Academic Exchange Program and spent one year at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro as a guest scholar. 

She received her  Ph.D. in Literature at the Shevchenko Institute of Literature, the National Academy of Sciences, Kyiv, Ukraine in 2009.  Her thesis was devoted to the experiments with the genre of literary biography performed by contemporary British writer Peter Ackroyd.

During her teaching career, Ganna has taught a number of courses devoted to British Literature with a special focus on the contemporary period.
