Floor Mijland is a teacher, researcher, and maker in the twilight zone between disciplines. She has a keen interest in art, philosophy, and education in the broadest sense. After finishing her masters in Media, Art, and Performance studies (MAPS), Floor started working as a teacher at Humanities department of the Utrecht University. In May 2023, she started as PhD candidate in the Spinoza-funded research program Governing the Digital Society, under the supervision of José van Dijck, Niels Kerssens, and Anne Helmond. Her research project concerns the platformisation of education, specifically focussing on the institutional autonomy of secondary education in the Netherlands.
