At the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, I completed a master on energy and climate law. As PhD candidate I continue my research on the energy transition. Particular attention is paid to the role of individual and collective 'consumer empowerment' in energy legislation, and how this legal concept can help to facilitate a just transition in both the electricity and heat sector.
