Ir. Floor Bontje

Experimental Psychology

Floor Bontje is a PhD candidate at Utrecht University in collaboration with TNO. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on human decision-making in urban traffic and integrates experimental psychology, geoscience, and computational modeling. She develops cognitive models to study traffic interactions and to inform the design of psychologically realistic digital twins of traffic participants.

In addition to her research, she is actively involved in teaching within Artificial Intelligence, serving as lecturer and co-coordinator and supervising Bachelor’s and Master’s theses. She is currently completing the University Teaching Qualification (UTQ/BKO). She is also strongly engaged in science communication and public outreach, including public experiments.
