I am an Assistant Professor in the Theoretical Philosophy Group working mainly in the philosophy of logic, in epistemology and the philosophy of science, and in the philosophy of language. I am particularly interested in logical pluralism, the normativity and epistemology of logic, different aspects of context-sensitivity, and social epistemic structures.
Before coming to Utrecht, I held positions at the University of Bonn and the University of Mainz. In 2017/18, I spent a DFG funded research leave at the CUNY Graduate Center and at UNC Chapel Hill. I also spent time at the University of Oxford (with a DAAD scholarship), and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (as an Erasmus student). I was a coordinator of the DFG- research network "The Semantics and Metasemantics of Context-Sensitive Language".
My book “Logical Pluralism and Logical Consequence” was published by Cambridge University Press in March 2023, the paperback edition came out in 2025.
Here is a review of the book.
