Profile

Ellen Moors is Professor of Sustainable Innovation. Her research in the field of innovation studies focuses on the dynamics and governance of emerging technologies in science-based sectors, such as agro-food, life sciences and health & ageing. Responsible innovation is an important topic in her work, taking into account societal challenges, values, and welfare issues to ensure more sustainable innovations taking place. The theoretical focus of her work is on the role of user innovations and user-producer interactions in emerging technological innovation systems and changing institutional governance arrangements in emerging technology fields. She teaches courses about management of life sciences innovations and sustainable drug development. Currently she is responsible for the development of a new master program Sustainable Business and Innovation.
