Dirk conducts research to the behavior of financial institutions and their clients.
Examples of studies concern the added value of security analysts, technical analysts and bitcoin analysts, the return on short selling by hedgefunds, and the determinants of deposit rates offered by Dutch commercial banks.
Regarding the behavior of financial consumers, Dirk researched among others the switching behavior of bank customers and customer behavior during foreign cash withdrawals.
