Charlotte Mol completed the European Law School bachelor cum laude at the University of Maastricht (2011-2014). She subsequently specialised in Family Law and Private International Law at Utrecht University, graduating from the Legal Research Master cum laude in March 2017. For her master thesis she was awarded the Jaap Doek Children's rights thesis award 2017. Prior to starting as a PhD, Charlotte was a legal intern at the Hague Conference on Private International Law. She received the (Dutch) FJR Prijs 2019 for her article 'Maturity and the Child's Right to be Heard in Family Law Proceedings: Article 12 UNCRC and Case Law of the ECtHR Compared'. In January 2022, Charlotte received her doctoral degree cum laude at Utrecht University. Charlotte was named 'runner-up' for the Young Talent Award presented by Sdu and Advocatie in September 2022.
