I am a researcher in high energy theoretical physics with broad interests. My research sits at the interface of quantum field theory (QFT) and black hole physics. I typically work with systems exhibiting conformal symmetry and/or supersymmetry which admit a holographic description in terms of the Anti-de-Sitter/Conformal Field Theory (AdS/CFT) correspondence, where I utilize techniques from a variety of fields including QFT, general relativity, numerical analysis etc. to study a wide range of phenomena. As such, the results of my research my be applied to systems such as: the early history of the universe, the miniature big bangs created at heavy ion colliders, quantum criticality in novel materials, or the interaction of gravity and quantum theory.
