Sophie Bijleveld is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Human Geography and Spatial Planning at the Faculty of Geosciences. In her PhD project she studies the colonial history of Utrecht University's Faculty of Geosciences, focusing on the role of the Faculty in the colonial order as well as on the legacies of colonialism in the Faculty and its geoscientific disciplines.
