• 2015 - 2017: Research Fellow at Lero - The Irish Software Research Centre at the University of Limerick, Ireland
• 2012 - 2015: Postdoctoral Researcher at the Chair of Service and Software Engineering, Institute of Computer Sciene, University of Potsdam, Germany
• 2007 - 2012: PhD Student and Research Assistant at the Chair of Programming Systems, Faculty of Computer Science, TU Dortmund University, Germany. My thesis "User-Level Workflow Design. A Bioinformatics Perspective." was graded "with distinction", honored with the faculty's dissertation award and published in Springer's LNCS series.
• 2002 - 2007: B.Sc./M.Sc. student of Applied Computer Science at the University of Göttingen, Germany
