Annelies Knoppers conducts research on diversity in (sport) organizations and the role that physicality/corporeality may play in that. Her focus is primarily on the homogeneity of those holding leadership positions. She also explores assumptions about the pedagogical climate in sport and looks critically at the values assigned to sport involvement, especially with respect to gender and sexuality.
