AnneMarie is an assistant professor in the Responsible AI Group. Previously, she was a postdoc in the National Police Lab AI at Utrecht University and she did her PhD at the Ruhr University Bochum.
As a researcher, AnneMarie is interested in the development of formal argumentation for the real-world. There is a vast amount of theoretical results on formal argumentation, but there is often a gap with requirements from real-life applications. In her work AnneMarie focuses on dynamic aspects of argumentation and the use of argumentation in the field of explainable artificial intelligence.
