Shanshan Bi obtained her Master degree in Child and Family Education with distinction from the Education University of Hong Kong in 2018. Currently, she is a PhD candidate in the Department of Interdisciplinary Social Sciences: Youth Studies. Her main research interests and dissertation topics focus on understanding the development of adolescents' cognitive social capital, particularly for trust and perceived social support, and how they relate to well-being.
