My primary field of research is Renaissance literature, specializing in early modern women’s writing, manuscript cultures and the history of science. I have published in these areas in the journals, Early Modern Women: An Interdisciplinary Journal, The Seventeenth Century, Women’s Writing, and Textual Cultures

I am currently completing two monographs: Women Writers and Alchemy in Early Modern Britain; and The Reception and Circulation of Women’s Writing in Manuscript Miscellanies, 1550–1700 (the latter of which is co-authored with Marie-Louise Coolahan and Erin McCarthy).

Prior to joining Utrecht University, I was Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow (2019-21) at Leiden University; European Research Council Postdoctoral Researcher (2014-18) for RECIRC: The Reception and Circulation of Early Modern Women’s Writing, 1550-1700 (https://recirc.universityofgalway.ie/); and Modern Humanities Research Association Fellow (2013-14) for the Catalogue of English Literary Manuscripts, 1450-1700 (https://www.celm-ms.org.uk/).
