I have studied political science in Vienna and earned a doctoral degree in sociology in 2019 after postgraduate studies at the Universities of Bielefeld and Konstanz. Currently I am working at the intersection of sociology, history and digital humanities since I was granted a research fellowship by the German Research Foundation (DFG) for conducting research at Utrecht University hosted by prof. dr. Joris van Eijnatten. My focus is on text mining methods as they are used in the Digital Humanities and especially in conceptual history. In particular, I am interested in how the concept of "imitation" and its connotations changed during the course of the 18th century.

Apart from that, I am generelly interested in sociological theory, political sociology and the sociology of knowledge, with particular emphasis on historical perspectives and topics.
