I work on quantifying the turbulent land - atmosphere exchange of rare H2O and CO2 isotopologues (DHO, H218O, H217O, 13CO2, C18OO, and C17OO). This work is part of the CloudRoots Project led by Prof. dr. J. (Jordi) Vilà-Guerau de Arellano and Prof. dr. T. (Thomas) Röckmann. As an experimentalist, I use micro-meteorological tools like Eddy Covariance and Scintillometry (for measuring turbulence) in combination with various laser spectrometers (for measuring isotopologues). Ultimately, we hope to better compartmentalize the H2O and CO2 fluxes coming from the vegetaition and the soil.
