I hold a PhD in Spanish Literature and Gender Studies by the University of Oviedo (2021), where I also completed an M.A. in Gender and Diversity (2016) and a degree in Spanish Language and its Literatures (2015). I have been a Guest Researcher at Université de la Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris 3) (France), CCHS-CSIC (Madrid, Spain), and, before joining as a lecturer, at Universiteit Utrecht.

My research has been published in international peer-reviewed journals such as Bulletin of Spanish Studies, Revista Chilena de Literatura, Rilce. Revista de Filología Hispánica, Revista de Escritoras Ibéricas, Signa. Revista de la Asociación Española de Semiótica, or Tropelías. Revista de Teoría de la Literatura y Literatura Comparada. I have participated in over 20 international scientific conferences and seminars.

My main areas of research are:

1) Interpretative practices from a gender perspective: I have focused on the representation of the woman author in Spanish contemporary culture (19th and 20th centuries) with particular attention to poetic anthologies.
2) Literature and ethics: I have investigated the relationship between literary texts and political engagement through the lens of Spanish women writers who developed their career inside Spain and in exile or migration during the Francoist Regime.
3) Spanish poetry written by women under Francoist Regime: I have studied the poetry work of Ángela Figuera Aymerich and Carmen Conde, among others, from the point of view of myth rewriting and gender perspective.
