Rosa Koenen is a researcher and storyteller working with a focus on journalistic- and documentary projects. Her core experience lays in analysing and interpreting large quantities of data. Furthermore, she specializes in thorough qualitative research methods. Observing and participating for longer periods before working towards structural analysis, or a poetic interpretation in words and images.

Her interests are processes of in- and exclusion and the power to re-imagine our community. As a storyteller her preferred methods are the written essay, lectures and theatrical performances.

Rosa communicated stories and has performed internationally on various festivals. While contributing in grassroots projects, and volunteering for film and musical events like IDFA, she keeps enriching her work as researcher and a writer through these channels.

Rosa Koenen has a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a major in Gender Studies.  She compiled her own curriculum with a focus on power mechanisms and sexuality throughout different disciplines and thereby specialized in discourse analyses and anthropological research methods.

In 2012 and 2013 Rosa sailed aboard the sailing vessel Tres Hombres to work as a cook and crossed the Atlantic Ocean and the Carribbean.
