Philippe Roepstorff-Robiano (born 1984 in Vienna) studied Philosophy and Literature in Berlin, Paris and Berkeley, going on to complete his doctoral thesis about the relationship between (financial) credit and realist poetics, a work published under the title Kreditfiktionen. Der literarische Realismus und die Kunst, Schulden zu erzählen (Credit Fictions: Literary Realism and the Art of Recounting One’s Debts). He has published numerous articles and interviews about a wide range of other topics, including the role natural sciences play for literature, intermedia, Alexander Kluge and Karl Marx. Beyond that he has also co-translated René Crevels surrealist novel Détours (1924) from French into German. Currently, he is working on his new book about factual and fictional last words.
